A group of people, due to laziness, or children or people with certain diseases, it is difficult for them to brush their teeth. Hence, scientists have succeeded in making a robot that solves these problems.
Engineers at the University of Pennsylvania have developed a set of shape-shifting microrobots that can brush, rinse and floss your teeth at the same time. and presented data that shows that the hands-free system can destroy not only dental plaques but also harmful bacteria by releasing antimicrobial compounds.
These small robots are composed of iron oxide nanoparticles that have both catalytic and magnetic activity. For this reason, they can be made into different shapes and controlled using magnetic fields.
Experiments using the system on artificial and real human teeth showed that the micro-robots could conform to different shapes to virtually remove sticky biofilms that lead to cavities and gum disease.

1- Routine oral care is difficult and can create challenges for many people, especially those who have difficulty cleaning their teeth. You should brush your teeth, then floss, then rinse your mouth; This is a manual and multi-step process. The big innovation here is that the robotic system can do all three things seamlessly, without manual intervention, and automatically.
2- Nanoparticles can be shaped and controlled by magnetic fields in surprising ways. By creating hairs that can stretch, sweep, and even move back and forth across a space like flossing.
3- It doesn't matter whether the teeth are smooth or irregular, this technology adapts to different surfaces and can be adjusted to all corners and cavities of the mouth.
